Gaaf Dhaal Thinadhoo solemnly remembered on Thursday, the day their island was crushed by the regime of Prime Minister Ibrahim Nasir. Nasir sent a militia from Male’ to destroy the island following its involvement in an alleged rebellion against the central government in which they called for an independent state of southern atolls called the United Suvadive Islands.
